Hey people

The first draft of our class drama script is up on our class email inbox.
If it looks a little sub-standard, please forgive me, Mendi and Fang Hong as we were practically slugging through it. (shh! :X)
Nevertheless it is the skeleton of the final script, and we need your opinions before we send it to Ms Zaiton.
Of course, we have yet to add in parodies of some commercials, but we need to consider the duration of the whole play, humour aside.
So please do take a good look at it and raise clauses to be amended!

Cheers
Jun Hao xD

Hey people, here's the timeline (okay, I know it's finally up but cut me some slack cos my comp went crazy on me) for the drama.

Please feel free to raise questions and implement suggestions for changes to be made to the timeline.

Anyone who's extremely zealous about contributing his/her ideas to the script, please do approach any of the scriptwriters or directors. Some of us will be meeting up in school at 1.30pm tomorrow, so you could probably drop by and stuff?

left side
right side, the super professional part. xD ( can u recognize the figures in the painting?) very realistic and contrary to popular belief, its 100% painted not printed. LOL

Haha. 3 pictures, perhaps to make up for junhao's post?
anyway, we had an entertaining and fun-filled, though tiring afternoon today, painting the class.
The pictures shows the ALMOST completed wall and as Mr Toh remarked, is highly professional.
The camera was unable to capture the full wall so it was half half yeahs.
and the last pic shows ALMOST ALL of the faces of today's class painting crew. :)
~
The class comm would like to thank the following people:
ZhenHui, Jiaquan, and Jasmine who helped out with the painting and came forward to help the otherwise minisicule class painting crew for the day.
JiaYun, XinHui and Stefanie, the Art Club members, for borrowing the OHP from the Art room for us, and helped to touch up, trace and paint part of the wall, despite ongoing competitions! :)
MayXian, for bringing most of the paint, and for helping out with most of the touch-ups and painting as well.
ShiauYin, for taking some time off from her break during Dance practice to paint part of the wall as well.
MinYi, who came to help out after her Art lessons in school, she stayed back and help although she was already planning to go home. :)
YouHui, for providing strong eye power.
and
Jonathan Phang, for painting a small speck of black.
HAHA!
and of course. thanks to comm members, Amelia, Alice, Mendi and Michelle who worked hard together to come up with the design. HA!
AND especially Ms Zaiton, who helped us print the designs on transparency and who played a major role in the planning and designing of the classroom painting.
~
Kudos to those who came down to help out at short notice despite their busy schedule:)
The Class comm really appreciates that you guys have taken time out to help us paint the wall. THANKS!
Ps. the designs for noticeboard is also out and the doing of the noticeboard will officialy start in Week 4 of the June holidays. :)

Lastly, please remember to do your homework (i'm a fine one to talk -.-) and do your projs (HCL and Geog)
thanks! Happy Hols.

(anyways) Hello people ((:

tmrw marks the start of our (drum roll please) CLASS PAINTING :D , so the committee with ft have already more or less finalised the decision (: hence here's the rough time line

2) {after 1 is done. hopefully everything can be done in a week time} PAINTING
yes it's as simple as that so please do come down to help us out ((: text the following people for the dates, time, etc

x-

for tmrw, we will be starting at 1pm in class (duh) SEE YOU THERE!

Sorry people for not including a picture in this post, really not convenient for me. D:

Anyway, this post is dedicated to class drama.
Your directors Fang Hong and I are contemplating starting it officially in week 3 of the 'holidays'.
I will plan out a timeline ASAP (tomorrow is a good day) and upload a screenshot of it for the class to view.
Please do give us your feedback if you think it is too late to start, and if possible, provide suggestion along. (this is your chance to pan my ideas, lol)
Since the tentative day of our class drama is in August (assuming 1st week of August) then we'd have 6 weeks to rush it out.
Rough idea I have is:
Hols Week 3 - scriptwriting
Hols Week 4 - sending for approval + editing
T3W1 - confirming casting and starting rehearsing
T3W2 to T3W4 - rehearsals
In overall, we really have close to no time. Yep, that sucks.

Note to scriptwriters:
We'd have to edit the ideas by Mendi as:
1. we should aim to involve everyone
2. the humorous things that -X- does must be as a result of her deteoriating mental health and definitely it must embarrass her daughter, not just anything and everything funny [adherence to theme and guideline]

P.S. Let's keep the story under wraps and not disclose it. I'd strongly urge everyone to keep mum about it as otherwise it wouldn't be as impressive and surprising with spoilers, if any. So yeah, do everyone a favour and hush hush. Hah.

On a separate note, Zheng Jie is suggesting a movie outing for Transformers.
I know we have truckloads to be working on, but probably it can be after a class drama/painting session, so that we'd have at least done enough work to catch a breath, and more people will be able to go.
It opens in last week of June, so it coincides with the above idea.
Of course, it is tentative and I'm not saying we MUST go for the movie, but it will certainly be nice if many can make it for the movie. And I'm doing a good deed for the CDP chairs, since it's supposed to be a relaxation session.
Those who are interested please channel your approvals to Zheng Jie.
(Amelia please do not kill me or Zheng Jie! It's just a suggestion.)

LONG UPDATESSS Monday, June 8, 2009 1:21 PM

Hey 3/5ers!

Hmm this pic is relevant is some ways cause 1) We all are reaching for the stars in whatever we do and 2) our classroom painting would feature a small group of students reaching for the stars! Anyway, I think this cat is way cute... haha
Also, sorry for the long wait but here are the answers for the express chinese MYE paper!

Updates:
1. Class painting design has more or less been finalised. Since I can’t draw very well (duh), I shall describe till I get around to doing a sketch.

Firstly, on the right side of the wall (nearer to the door) there would be a group of five students reaching towards a star which has something like “Reach for the stars” written in it. On top of the notice board, “4/5 ’10 Aces All” would be written and down the left side, we would have some spiral-kind of border.
We will be having handprints at the bottom of the notice board as well. (most lightly in green) hence, please be prepared to dirty your hands and uniform (possibility) for the painting session (:
THANKS hope that everyone will come down on one day to help

2. For the noticeboard… we would be having a mortar board * I think its spelt like this* (graduation cap) theme and everyone would have personalize their own “intro.” card.

· NOTE: We would be having class painting on next Wednesday onwards at 1 pm. Any other suggestions have to be made by the end of this week. Anyone and everyone is welcome to help out in class painting! More details would be posted on class blog soon.

3. For geog students:

Homework:
1) Webquest (part of sub- group) *Must send to Mrs Ismail*
2) Entire workbook (everyone)
3) SQ3R (part of the large group)
4) Powerpoint/ Other forms of presentation (part of sub-groups)
5) Past Examination paper

For Amelia’s side:

Groups:
1. Jia Quan, Jun Meng, Teng Kiat and Michael would be doing on the Ganges River.
2. Alicia, Xin Hui, Stefanie and Demi would be doing on River Nile
3. Kareen, Mendi, Si Jing and Zheng Jie would be doing on Mississippi River
4. Amelia, Jasmine, Shi Min, Reiko And Alice would be doing the Textbook section.

Please send all textbook SQ3R to Amelia’s email (or class email if you don’t have) latest by 7 June2009 or ASAP. Thanks!

5. Lastly, can everyone send their emails to the class email. I know this sounds really dumb but this way, everyone can contact each other. Just type in your name as the subject heading.
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY JONATHAN!
All the best for upcoming competitions such as Art Club! “Aerodynamically the bumblebee shouldn't be able to fly, but the bumblebee doesn't know that so it goes on flying anyway.” Bssst! Jia You

6. Please bring thermometer from today if you are coming to school. a gentle reminder: please be properly attired

7. Chinese MYE paper 2 { express chinese}
